He bought a rebuilt cylinder head from us. He installed it and it ran for about 15 minutes and then something happened as the motor stopped running. It wouldn't restart. He said it wouldn't start because we installed bent valves in the head which is ridiculous. The head jumped time while it was running, bent the valves, and then it had no compression and wouldn't restart. Regardless, we sent another head and he decided to check the valves using water. It, not surprisingly, seeped some water past the valves. No rebuilder checks valves this way. We use a vacuum tester which is what rebuilders use. A small amount of valve leakage is permissible since the leakage will disappear once the engine runs for awhile and the valves seat. He made a big deal out of this. Cussed at everybody he talked to. We said to return the heads we sent him and we would just write it off and give him a refund. He returned the first head with the bent valves and his core head. He convinced ebay that he returned both our heads. He did not. We were forced to give him a full refund and he stole one of our heads. I can only imagine what this crook would do to a customer of his who had a complaint about repairs he makes to their vehicle. I notice another reviewer gave him a similar review for not being up front and honest.
You got story incorrect. I never cursed anyone out. I was always professional. I used brakes parts cleaner to test 2nd cylinder that was sent...Not water. I didn’t convince eBay anything. eBay as a consumer 1st policy. I simply filed a complaint provided evidence and eBay refunded my purchase. I think leaving a consumer a bad review shows lack of integrity on your part.
