I have had work done by Quality Automotive and I bought a car from Dave. He's always been candid, fast, and easy to work with. His estimates have been accurate and I always felt like my business mattered to him personally. Bottom line? I trust him, his work and his pricing. I don't know many businesses I can endorse as fully as QA.

He bought a rebuilt cylinder head from us. He installed it and it ran for about 15 minutes and then something happened as the motor stopped running. It wouldn't restart. He said it wouldn't start because we installed bent valves in the head which is ridiculous. The head jumped time while it was running, bent the valves, and then it had no compression and wouldn't restart. Regardless, we sent another head and he decided to check the valves using water. It, not surprisingly, seeped some water past the valves. No rebuilder checks valves this way. We use a vacuum tester which is what rebuilders use. A small amount of valve leakage is permissible since the leakage will disappear once the engine runs for awhile and the valves seat. He made a big deal out of this. Cussed at everybody he talked to. We said to return the heads we sent him and we would just write it off and give him a refund. He returned the first head with the bent valves and his core head. He convinced ebay that he returned both our heads. He did not. We were forced to give him a full refund and he stole one of our heads. I can only imagine what this crook would do to a customer of his who had a complaint about repairs he makes to their vehicle. I notice another reviewer gave him a similar review for not being up front and honest.

I took my truck in and received great service. He also alerted me to some safety concerns that really saved me time and money for my safety inspection. Very experienced and quality work. My Vehicle has not operated so well since I bought it. Thanks! I would certainly refer him to my friends.

Dave sold me a Honda Civic as I needed one for my sons. It was very nice, he did a great job on it. Everything worked and he had all the inspections. I took it by my friends shop and he looked it over and said that is a good car don't let it get away. I am very happy with Dave and his service...

Not a good mechanic to let u work on your car. please be careful when dealing with this guy

Not a trustworthy mechanic. Thought I could recommend him to my sister and he ripped her off. Her expedition had a check engine light on so he charged her over a $1000 to fix it claiming She needed a new intake. He also said that he only uses motor-craft parts on Ford's and come to find out he didn't really use a motor-craft part. She gets the truck back and its now overheating and he claims he fixed it but it's doing the same thing still so she took it back to him again and now he says she needs a head gasket and its gonna cost her $2400 more dollars. Now mind you I have the same truck as my sister and he charged me $2500 to fix my intake, gear box and head gasket. I should've known not to deal with him because he pulls this same move whenever u bring a vehicle to him to get fixed but I made the mistake of trusting him again. NEVER AGAIN! Don't waste your hard earn money with him because he really doesn't know what he's doing!

I've known Dave and the work he's done for over 10 yrs. He ALWAYS squeezes me in on my last minute odd requests. He prices are considerably lower than other shops and the quality is always there. Thanks Dave!
